adding watermark

ok its been so long since i have done any photo editing, so could someone tell me how to add the watermark on my pics? Also does anyone have a good photo editer that works with vista?

I created my own watermark several months ago . . . didn't turn out the way I wanted it too and it is a pain in the ass to use. I think I used something with "shark" in the title to create it, but I don't remember how I did it. I wish I was better with this computer crap . . . I will be interested to see what others say.
