Does anyone know of any FREE image downloader without bugs? I'd found some large sets before and I don't ever have the time to individually click on every picture. I downloaded this freeware but it was only good for one time use. It was called the bulk image downloader.
Also...any freewares for flipping videos? I saw Bucco asking for it and Glowworm provided but that link no longer works. I'd really appreciate it guys if you have the answers. Thanks

I couldn't get that one to work correctly. Still looking for a good one as well, preferably for Firefox.

As stated earlier, downthemall is great. However, I have found to get complete functionality out of it, you need to also have the extension "downthemall - anticontainer". Install these. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...n/downthemall/ https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...anticontainer/ Now. Esentially. Downthemall is a bulk image and link downloader. However, many sites (like facebook) do not link images directly and instead have a image that when clicked will link somewhere else. This is fine for single image downloading since you can just set the image you want to download. However, this can be time consuming. Anticontainer allows you to write a plugin for the anticontainer extension which will take a link that is matched and run some sort of filter or matching. Anticontainer developers made one of these a while ago, however, after the most recent major facebook update, theirs no longer worked. So I wrote my own. Here is the plugin for the anticontainer. Quote:
Go to the FireFox addons manager, click anticontainer and go to options. Towards the bottom right you will see "create plugin" and "install plugin". Click install plugin. You will then locate the json file you just created (title does not matter), and open it. If all went according to plan you will see a popup message "Plugin Installation" stating it was installed. If there was a mistake, nothing will happen. Now, before you close that, scroll down the list of plugins till you find "Facebook Photos". This was the original plugin that no longer works. However, it is set to priority 1 so you need to deactivate it. Once that is done, click OK. Now what the plugin I wrote (and quoted above) will do is this. It will match a link that has facebook.com/photo in it. In short, this will be all tagged photos as well as all photos in a photo album. Let's test this using this open facebook profile. www.facebook.com/kaleecarroll Click on her photos. You will see the list of albums as well as the first set of tagged photos. Click on "Profile Pictures". Right click any white space (not ontop of a link) on that page and go to "DownThemAll" and select it. What should come up is a LONG list of "facebook" links. At the top make sure "Links" is selected and not "Pictures and Media". If you notice towards the bottom you will see "Filters". If you open that tab you will see in the top left, "AntiContainer". Make sure that is selected and nothing else. If you also notice, you should see in the very bottom "Selected Links: 91 of 236". Now, DownThemAll is great with renaming and organization. I save all my files to a folder called "DownThemAll" and I use this renaming mask *d*-*m*-*y*/*ext*/*name*.*ext* Anyway, If you hit start, DownThemAll manager will come up and the links will start to download. The process it uses is. It matches the link, it then opens that link and parses the source code for the "matching" parameter in the plugin we added and it uses that to extract the url for the hidden "highest quality image" facebook has saved. If you notice, some of the photos will end with _n while some will end with _o. _o refers to "original" and these are usually higher quality photos. Now notice, you do not have to open any of the photos. All of them will down load from the album (or tagged) viewer. You can scroll all the way down to the bottom of the tagged images page and run the downthemall and it will download every image there. I will try to write a plugin for redit for you Satan. If this rather blunt tutorial is received well, I will explain how to use "fffixer" to open all images in full view and allow you to quickly roll through them using the "DTA Selector" and select which images to parse with the Anticontainer. |
